Mike Patrick / Cape Canaveral, FL posted a condolence

This is a sad one... He was a friend of mine when we were kids here in Cape Canaveral. We used to run around on bikes, skateboards and just laugh and live like kids do. He was always smiling, laughing or doing something silly. I hadn't seen him in so long - that I can't remember when. Since we were kids for sure. But this world was a better place just knowing he was out there in it somewhere. It didn't find me surprised at all to read his obituary about how jovial he was, and how he was helping his rod & gun club. Thats the kind of guy I expected him to grow up to be, just like when we were boys, he was always there for everyone. Miss ya big guy. ~ Mike Patrick

Arnie''''''''s passing shall be difficult for those who were close to him.He was one of my best friends I have ever had. Just 2 weeks prior to his passing he had told me how much he would like me to meet all of his close friends and family in Syracuse.Well, I got to meet all of you wonderful people he always talked about during our weekly phone conversations at his " Last Bar B Que. He loved all of you so much. It truly was a honor to be his friend. To all of his friends and family, I am quite sure his words to all of us would be as follows: " Be well my friends". R.I.P. Arnie

Arnie will be dearly missed. He has always been a great friend from the day I met him in Cape Canaveral in 1980. I am so fortunate to have him as a friend all these years. My prayers are with Mary and Arnie now and forever. May you rest in peace my friend. My daughter summed it all up the other day when she said " he''s the friend of yours that''s really nice right?" You see she was thinking of the day she met Arnie at the Duck Pond in Syracuse. My daughter lives in Marcellus and I was up visiting her. She was only 7 or 8 yrs old at the time. I made arrangements to meet Arnie at the Duck Pond that day. We got there first and bought our little cup of feed for a couple dollars or whatever it was. And my daughter walked up to Arnie and said "hello look I have duck food" Arnie reached in his car and pulled a 50 pound bag of corn out and said " now that''s a bag of duck food". The look on my daughters eyes was priceless. The moment was priceless. Arnie was priceless. Goodbye my friend. I love you. Kevin

Arnie will be greatly missed. I am so glad that my daughter, Alyssa DuRocher, was able to visit him two years ago and most recently June 2012 for two weeks. I know she had a great time and loved him dearly. We didn''''t speak often but the times we saw each other during his visits here and our talks on the phone he always made me feel like still one of the family. My heart goes out to Mary; she is a strong woman will will find a way to deal with her great loss. I love you Arnie and I know you are looking down on us with your witty look and cornie jokes.  And by the way, the day Alyssa walks down the isle of her wedding, you will still be with her!!!!!!  Hugs and Kisses always!!
