To the Shambo family - I was sorry to hear of your father's passing and would like to offer my sincerest condolences. My parents and your parents were good friends for which I am very thankful.   I remember many times visiting your family at your cottage in Fair Haven, going out on the boat, and barbequing.   Your father and mother always made certain that we had fun while there.  My thoughts are with you and your family.   – John Magill

Rick, Pete and Terry, my heart aches for you all. What a special, unique, loving person Lou was. He always lifted my spirits whenever I was fortunate enough to run into him. I always made a point of stopping by when we were in Fair Haven. What a gift he was. My love to you and yours, Carl

Dear Terry, Rick and Peter, I am sorry to hear about your Dad.  I will never forget either of your parents, as they were my "second parents" for many, many summers.   They each had such a great sense of humor and always made me feel welcome. I know they are greatly missed. Anne

Sorry to hear about your loss. Dick Faulkner (my father in law) was a friend of Lou at Bluefield Manor. I just learned of Lou's passing and I was wondering because I had been trying to reach your father to let him know Dick passed away on August 29. So it is comforting knowing two good friends are still together.  Best regards the Faulkner family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget Louis. I am leaving this letter for him to see.... My dear Louis, I heard on Tuesday you were not doing well. I prayed for you. Just like when i was admitted to the hospital 2 weeks ago, i was told you prayed for me. I was also told you asked about me every day that i was out. when i returned to work you were already out. They had not told me how serious it was. So, i want to thank you for time we have spent getting to know each other. You always had a hello and smile for me! You r forever in my heart and always welcome at my Men's Club. With Love, Tom from The Hearth on James
