Obituary of Ismael "Sam" Gonzalez

Ismael “Sam” Gonzalez passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 after a brief illness.

He is survived by his children, Emily and Maria Gonzalez; brothers, Carlos Gonzalez, Jose Colon and Julio Colon; sisters, Ramona Colon and Evelyn Dye; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Felicita Flores Colon.

Sam enjoyed golfing and always had a smile on his face. He was extremely generous and always put his family first.

Calling hours will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
