I was so sorry to hear you lost your sweet Mom. She was a special lady. Her and my Mom were great friends. I'm sure they had many laughs together. My Mom enjoyed her- as I heard of their adventures. She was so positive, cheerful and I am sure helpful to my Mom in so many ways. Your Mom even took her to the hospital to visit when our daughter was born. If I had known I would have come to the mass for her. I know so many many years ago when my Dad passed away when we were in high school you were there, and I did appreciate it.

Dear DeMascoles and Farsacis
I second so many of the same memories of Pat recounted above BUT ..... have a special story about how she and I TWICE got up at 4 am, met at 5am and drove down to NY city.
I had the car parked at one of the West Side Piers where there were wonderful antique shows twice a year.
We marched around the piers from 10 am until they closed at 6. If that wasn't bad enough we were carrying our purchases around as well. Pat had her usual bag of old children's books and I was carrying a heavy metal lamp and some other things.
We were so proud of ourselves and excited to be there we didn't ever realize we were tired until we were back in the car and heading home. Mind you, we had probably walked several miles all around those piers and never once complained of being tired oh yes there were a couple of stops ... finding the ladies room and I guess we must have stopped for a bite to eat.
For me both drives seemed unusually short since we talked and laughed in the car going and coming.
If I remember correctly we got back to Syracuse a few stokes before midnight. AND year later we did it again !!!

I was very saddened hearing of Pat's passing. We were classmates at St. Joe's and shared many fun times. We all would hitch hike out to Green Lakes after working nights, stuffing our beds and blocking under the door. We could do this stuff back in the 50's! We brought peanut butter from the kitchen and freshly baked Italian bread from the bakery just below the hospital and then spent the day swimmng, etc. and ride back home with the life guards and boat house workers! ( I ended up marrying one)
Great memories of fun times with a fun person. My prayers are with Pat and all her family . Toni Walier McCarthy

I am so sorry I lost touch with Pat in the last year, I knew she was failing but still was her old self.the last time I saw her...she was a unique person and taught me so much about children's books and collecting, we had many interests together. ...we had some good times together. She was a sweet and loving and Christian Lady and I know she is in heaven. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Condolences to her family who she loved and talked about all the time.

Pat was a dear friend who I first met at Hill Haven when I was a newly graduated nurse and she took my under her wing . She was so loving and kind to staff & patients we become fast friends and for many years she would come and visit me at Southwick beach were we took annual summer vacations , always bringing my kids a book that she would`ve found at one of her antique adventures and then we`d meet up and attend the annual Christmas craft show at the State Fair grounds. I will always remember her love for life & people and I lost touch over the last few years , left multiple phone messages and then sadly just didn`t follow though . Her family should know how very proud she always spoke of you all you could hear it in her voice how much she loved all of you while sharing various pictures of grand kids and even family dogs . Rest in peace my dear friend and I hope their serving your favorite mud-pie dessert in heaven .

Dear Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Pat as we used to enjoy antiquing and having lunch together. Pat had a wonderful sense of humor. We were faithful in sending each other birthday cards and letters. Pat was a lovely lady and I will miss her. God bless her family and friends during this sad time.
