Harry and Kay, We have so many good memories of Jessica, our next-door neighbor.  Joe and Eli would play on the swings in your back yard and talk with Jessica about whatever kids discuss when they are young and everything is new.  We remember how much you loved her and what a lovely young girl she grew into.  We are very sorry for your loss.

I''m glad I got to see Jessie one last time before she passed. I regret that all of us cousins lived far enough apart that we only really saw each other on holidays - but I will cherish the time we spent together. Jess was such a loving person with a sparkly personality. Sometimes the best people are taken from us too soon. I hope she is looking down on us all.

Dear Kay and Harry, You may not remember me, but Kay, you were leader in my daughter''''s girl scout troupe, and Jessica was of course in the troupe. My daughter is Bridget. When she joined your group, she had been pretty much thrown out of another group, for no good reason!I''''ll never forget how you and Jessica welcomed her so warmly, and made such a difference to how she felt about herself, and being part of the group. Bless you both for that! I cannot begin to imagine your sorrow at this time, but wanted to tell you how much I am thinking of you, and that you are in my prayers. Jessica was a brave and strong young woman, full of courage, which showed with her perpetual smile. It has been easy to see that you''''ve both been wonderful parents to her. I pray for strength for you both in these awful days, and peace in the future knowing that you gave her so very much love all the days of her short life.

Jess you truly made the world a better place in the short time that you were with us. When I met you I was amazed at the wonderful close relationship you had with your mom. you were bright, curious and had a wonderfully warm way about you. So grown up but you had a lot of living to do,I think you knew that. The way you handled yourself with grace and poise, you always had a smile even when you were sick and couldn't do things because of your illness. I never saw you complain. Your strength has moved me and inspired me as it should all of us who were lucky enough to have our lives touched by you. I will miss you kiddo.Fly away to someplace better and be at peace. I for one will not forget you Girl Scout. I will miss you Jessica.

Kay & Harry, Jessica taught me so much. The moment I met her I knew she would change my life forever. She was a rare bright star who had more capacity to love than most people I know. I will miss her smile and big, bright eyes, her sense of humor. Her texts:" Kate! please send MORE pictures of the babies, thank you!" Our text stream would make a funny read..the Winnie the Pooh quilt she hand stitched for Reid now hangs above Nora's crib. Our guardian angel. Thank you for sharing your beautiful daughter with us all. " It's hard to stay mad when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst... and then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life." ~ American Beauty~

I am a teacher at Nottingham High School.  Like so many, Jessica touched my life with her ever-present smile and tenacious spirit.  Students like Jess are the reason why I went into teaching to begin with.  That beautiful soul shining out from twinkling eyes that reaches out and makes a difference in others' lives, wherever she goes, whatever she does.  I was honored to be counted among her "friends."
