Obituary of Lula M. Jones

Lula M. Jones, 81, of Syracuse, NY, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at home. She retired from General Electric after 37 years and was a member of the Electronettes and was president for two terms. She was also employed for 15 years at Exploring Your World Preschool. She was a Deaconess at First Presbyterian Church. Lula loved her trips to Las Vegas and she always looked forward to her next one. Lula is survived by her daughters, Zsa Zsa (Finney), Paulette, Terri and Sharon Jones; son, Isadore (Linda) Johnson; sister, Dorothy Anderson of Valley Stream, NY; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence "Shorty" Jones; sons, Gregory and Jeffery; and grandson, Anders McArthur. Calling hours will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, with a funeral service to immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
