Obituary of Lillie Beatrice Nelson

Lillie Beatrice Nelson, 80 of Syracuse, NY, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at James Square Nursing Home. Lillie B. was the daughter of the late Amos Nicks Sr. and Dorthola Nicks (Montevallo, AL). Lillie B. graduated from Contemporary School of Beauty and was an established licensed Beautician for over 40 years. She was predeceased by brother, Amos Nicks, Jr. and brother-in-law, Joe Dameron. Lillie B. is survived by her daughter, Brenda M. Hill and four sons, Elijah Lawrence Nelson, Timothy A. (Rhoda) Nelson Sr., Terrance A. (Kelly) Nelson Sr., Rodrick (Sonya) Nelson; sister, Alice Dameron; brothers, W. Earl (Evelyn) Nicks and Paul (Chris) Nicks; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; a host of relatives, friends, and spiritual brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. Memorial Services will be Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1900 W. Fayette Street, Syracuse, NY 13204. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
