Obituary of Cora Jernigan

Cora Jernigan, 66, of Syracuse, passed away at home surrounded by her family. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Horace Jernigan Sr.; four children, Terry (Audrey), Horace Jr., Leo and Cliretta (Shawn) Gunn; 34 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary (Brady) Tarver of Chicago, IL, Leona (Jimmie) Jones of Syracuse and Nettie (James) Willis of Syracuse; two brothers, Joseph (Barbara) Hawkins of Albany and King E. Sr. (Lillian) Hawkins of Eufaula, AL. Calling hours will be held Thursday, 5 - 7 p.m. at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. in Bellegrove Missionary Baptist Church, 219 W. Castle Street/Martin Luther King Street, Syracuse.
