Obituary of James M. Burgess

James (Jimmy) Michael Burgess, 59, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Tuesday to join his parents, Norman and Kathleen Burgess in heaven. James precedes brother, John E. Burgess. James was a loving father and brother who always had a smile for everyone. James was recently retired from General Electric Corp, working as a specialty welder. James was an avid fisherman who loved hunting and the outdoors. He was also an accomplished actor with national TV credits to his name. James is survived by former wife, Christine Burgess, daughters, Heather Cox, Pamela Burgess, (sisters) Linda & Tom LaRose, Denise Burgess, (brothers) Mark & Christine Burgess, Joseph Burgess, William Burgess, Richard & Pamela Burgess, Robert & Michelle Burgess, (sister-in-law) Barbara Burgess. Calling hours are Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 2pm-4pm at the A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street. Services will be held at 9am on Monday, May 19, 2014. Donations can be given to the CNY Cancer Society in James Burgess's name.
