Obituary of Florence A. Eppolito

Florence Eppolito of James Square Nursing Home, Syracuse, NY, formerly of Canastota, NY, passed away on March 25th after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Frankfort, NY. She retired in 1980 after 20 years as the Republican Confidential Secretary to the Commissioner of the Madison County Board of Elections. She was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota, NY. She married Peter I. Eppolito on November 16, 1946 and lived in Canastota most of her married life. Peter died February 21, 1983. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed her family, friends, golf and life. Survivors: She is survived by two sons, Anthony (Patricia) of Johnstown, NY and Joseph (Virginia) of Liverpool, NY; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Bonvino; one sister-in-law, Antoinette Fiume; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio & Josephine Giambrone; her brother Sam Giambrone; sister, Lena McNeece; as well as several cherished brothers-in law and sisters-in-law. Services: At her request, there will be no calling hours. A family memorial reception will be planned in the immediate near future. Burial will be at St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota, NY.
