Obituary of Richard Vanderwege

Richard Vanderwege, 73, of Syracuse, New York died Monday, August 11, 2014 at home. He was employed as a driver at Syracuse Developmental Center. Richard served in the Navy and Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of American Legion Valley Post 1468. Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda; sons, Dean and Scott Vanderwege; sister, Betty Lytle; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services are private. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
