Obituary of Heaven Leigh "Tucci" S. Burns

Heaven Leigh "Tucci" S. Burns, 26, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 12, 2023.  Tucci graduated from Job Corps and was a dedicated employee at Self Direct Inc. She aspired to further her nursing career, become a foster parent, but most of all, she dreamed of being a mom.  She was known for her bright beautiful face.  A smile spread so far, it warmed your whole soul.  Heaven Leigh had a playful sweet charm with a shy innocence.  She delighted in scaring the kids with her remarkably clever pranks, “throwing it down” in her kitchen, and spoiling her pet cats.  Heaven was an admirable, caring, understanding and loving person.  She loved sunflowers and scary movies and had an adventurous spirit with a fantastic imagination.

Heaven was predeceased by her great grandmother, Helen Smelkoff; great aunt, Genevieve Gacek; and a brother, Markee Burns.

Survived by her mother, Heather Dillman; her dad, Gerald Burns; step dad, Justin Conerly; siblings, Moriah and Jerah Lynn Burns, and Niomi, Vera and Junior Burns; grandmothers, Shelley Dillman, Aldean Williams; grandfather, Lee Wilkins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and second cousins; and the entire Conerly Family.

She was especially close to her sisters, uncle Axel, cousins, Alicka Burns, Chloe Gacek and Blake Barron. She was a proud “Auntie” to her niece, Nilah Ndinga.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 12-2PM at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home, Syracuse, NY. Services will be at 2PM.

She will be sorely missed by all.
