Obituary of Michael J. LaPoint

Michael J. LaPoint, 51, of Syracuse, passed away on December 11, 2022. He was born in April 1971, in Syracuse, NY to Raymond Edward LaPoint, Sr., and Alice Howell (Smedes) LaPoint.

Recently Mike was employed at the Auction House in North Syracuse, and enjoyed working with the vehicles. His favorite hobby was fishing. He was a devoted father- spending as much time with his children as possible, and taking yearly family vacations to Florida.

Michael is predeceased by his father, Raymond, Sr. Surviving him are his children: Courtney, Jenna, and Nico; his mother, Alice LaPoint; and brother, Raymond LaPoint, Jr.

An hour of visitation will be held on Friday December 30, from 2 pm to 3 pm at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home, Syracuse. A Memorial Service will follow at 3 pm.
