Obituary of Elaine Balitz

Elaine Balitz, 93, of Syracuse, N.Y. passed away peacefully on November 20th, to be with her Lord in faith and grace. She has finally been reunited with her loving husband of 32 years, Donald Balitz, who went up to that big golf course in the sky back in 1991. She has missed him dearly since his passing.

Elaine grew up in Mayfield, N.Y., and married Donald in 1958. She worked at Chittenango High School as a Secretary for four years. She also worked at Cardinal Cleaners for a few years. Her primary role was being the best Mom, and friend her children could have.

Elaine's loving family that is left to mourn her passing includes: her daughter, Cheryl Balitz of Syracuse, N.Y.; her son Greg (Ruth) Balitz of Kissimmee, FL; and stepson, Daniel (Janice) Balitz of Canastota, N.Y. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Kyle and Arick Balitz, Jamie (Jason) Roberts, Denise Balitz, and Danielle (Marc) Spatola; as well as three great grandchildren: Ashley Roberts, and Kassidy and Kendyl Allen.

There will be no calling hours or church service. Memorial Contributions in Elaine's name may be made to: EAVES Ambulance of East Syracuse, PO Box 34, East Syracuse, NY 13057.

Elaine's love and compassion lives on in all who were fortunate enough to know her. Be kind to one another and God bless you all!

“God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be.

So, He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.”
