Obituary of Wendy M. Evans

WENDY MELISSA EVANS

Our beloved daughter, sister, and friend gained her heavenly wings on Sunday January 2, 2022.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y, December 7,1967. Wendy attended CNS Highschool, Phillips Hairstyling Institute, and Dudley’s Cosmetology University, before opening her own hair salon on Hawley Ave in Syracuse, NY. Not only did Wendy have a passion for hair but all who knew her knew she had a love for the Dallas Cowboys as well.

To many Wendy Evans was a native of Syracuse New York but to the ASHTAE Products Inc.

family and thousands of professional cosmetologists around the world she was an International Educator.

As one of the Greatest Hairstylist in the industry Wendy's persona and picture-perfect styles graced the stages from Atlanta to Montreal and from New York to the Caribbean. For 35 years she worked side by side with the best in the business. Wendy made an indelible mark on everyone she met on the platform and off.

As Founder of ASHTAE Products, Michael Woods said that if there was anyone who brought their A Game every time they got on the stage it was Wendy. He went on to say that she joined our company as a fiery young stylist who wanted to be on the stage showcasing but she transformed into a master educator that commanded her audience and left everyone in awe of her gift.

Ramona Woods, CFO of ASHTAE Products says Wendy was not a client, she was a sister. There are people who come into your life for a reason and there are those who come for a season. For ASHTAE Products and our family, Wendy came for both. Having worked with her for 27 years and traveled around the world with her, you got to see how the seasons and reasons were intertwined. Wendy lived a life worth living. She traveled to almost every imaginable place in the world and stayed in the finest hotels and resorts from Paris to Brazil and from Rome to Jamaica. Everywhere she went she left her mark. God has taken her into Heaven, and we know that all the Angels are about to experience a new hairdo only given by the Greatest of All Time, Wendy Evans.

Wendy was pre-deceased by her mother, Emma Jean Evans, Ella Mae McDuffie (maternal grandmother), Lannie Rowell (maternal grandmother), Harry Rowell (maternal grandfather), Bertha Evans (paternal grandmother), and Roosevelt Evans (paternal grandfather).

Wendy was fortunate to be cherished and survived by two loving fathers, Willie Evans (Jakki), Wendell Dawson (Kathy). Sister’s- Rhonda Evans, Veronica Love (Kelly), April Marshal, Charmaine Jones, Charryse Jones.. Brothers- Willie Evans Jr and Steven Evans (Dawn), an aunt, Harristine White-Long, and a host of nieces, nephews, and so many friends.

There will be no funeral services, but a celebration of life will be announced and take place at a later time.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, condolences, and donations and find peace and comfort in knowing her legacy will live on through all those who had the pleasure of knowing her and learning from her.
