Obituary of Sonia Ivette Colón

Sonia Ivette Colón, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.  She was born in Syracuse, NY on February 15, 1969 to Alma I. Pizarro (living) and Jaime O. Colon (deceased).  She attended Syracuse City Schools and graduated from Fowler Senior High School with honors.  She worked at the Embassy Suites Hotel for 8 yrs.  Sonia was a very humble sweet caring person who enjoyed spending time with family.  She loved her Puertorican culture.  She was fluent in English and Spanish.  Her favorite food was arroz con gandules con bistec encebollado.

Sonia is survived by her 6 siblings; 4 sisters, Julie, Diana, Iris and Myrna; 2 brothers, Jaime Jr. and Jorge.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, 6:30PM, May 16, 2021 at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205.
