Obituary of Helen Elizabeth Sundberg

Helen Elizabeth Sundberg, 94, of Syracuse, New York, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing. She was born on December 10, 1922 in Janesville, Wisconsin to George and Frances (Hogan) Murphy. She retired as a branch manager at Marine Midland Bank after many years of service. She was a member and past president of the Southside Businessmen's Association and a communicant of St. James Church. She was a hardworking and devoted mother and grandmother. Helen is survived by her son, John A. Sundberg Jr. (Lori) of Cicero, NY; grandson, John A. Sundberg III of Cicero, NY; granddaughters, Megan and Morgan Sundberg of Cicero, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Sundberg; and brother, Edward Murphy. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee Street, DeWitt, NY. Contributions may be made to St. James Church, 4845 S.
