Obituary of Linda A. Zinkovitch

Linda A. Zinkovitch, born September 23, 1954, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday January 15, 2012. She was 57 years young. Linda was well known and loved by many friends and family. She was outgoing and enjoyed quality time with those she loved. She was an active donor to the American Red Cross and always took pride in saving a life. She devoted her time to rescuing and caring for animals in need. She took pride in her family and adored her grandchildren. To relax, she enjoyed crocheting and working in her garden. She had a great sense of humor, was free spirited and was strong and independent. She is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Lucy Zinkovitch; and she is survived by her brothers, Michael C. Fiore of East Syracuse and Alan (Michele) Zinkovitch of Liverpool; a sister, Sandra (Donald) Bassett of Lakeport, NY; three beloved daughters, Monique Zinkovitch, Orselina (John) Zinkovitch and Desiree Ashley-Estrada (Max); her 10 grandchildren, Anthony, Alexis, Alex, Allison, Alysa, Alana, Aneesa, Amaya, Alicia, and Maximino; one niece, several nephews and her dearest friend, Sharon E. Hoth of Syracuse. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip Street, Liverpool, 13088. Calling hours will be held Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m. at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse 13205. Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross and/or the SPCA.
