Obituary of Frances Squadrito Hamilton

Frances Squadrito Hamilton July 20, 1943 - October 25, 2012 Frances Squadrito Hamilton, daughter of the late Jerome and Santa Squadrito, was born on July 20, 1943 in Messina, Sicily. She departed this life, suddenly, on October 25, 2012 after a short battle with Colon Cancer. Frances came to the United States when she was just 12 years old, along with her siblings. She was an avid Bingo player, and was a member of the American Legion Post 41 Women's Auxillary. Frances leaves to mourn seven children; Jerome Hamilton (Brenda Gauthier), John Hamilton, Jacqueline Scott (Terrance Crowder), Oneta Marks (Alec Smith), Melocka Robinson (Quan Canady), Curtis Brooks III, Christy Brooks and granddaughter that she has raised since birth, Naquella Brooks. Frances also leaves 19 grandchildren behind; Jerome, Marissa, Josh, Michael, John, Jessica, Michaela, Gary, Rasheed, Jacquisha (D), Ja'Quan, Dakeem, David, Quazil, Diamind, Lil Oneta, Alec Jr., Infynadei, Naquell; and one great granddaughter, Kaylesi. She also leaves to mourn, two sisters, Dorothy Phillips of Alabama, and Connie Squadrito; one brother, Anthony Squadrito (Shirley), of Syracuse, New York; a host of nieces and nephews; and plenty of friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 7:00pm at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY. Two hours of calling will begin at 5:00 pm, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help pay for funeral expenses.
