Obituary of Culver Dawson Taylor

Culver Dawson Taylor January 16 1924 - December 1, 2011 Culver (Daws) Taylor, age 87, of Fayetteville, New York, died in the Syracuse Veterans Administration Medical Center on December 1st, 2011. He was raised in Syracuse, New York and graduated from Nottingham High School in 1942. After learning to fly in his late teens, Daws served as a P-51 fighter pilot in WWII. He received his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in 1952. He then went into sales and was a manufacturer's representative until early this year. Daws had many summers of enjoyment at the family cottage, fishing and sailing in Henderson Harbor. He was predeceased in 2009 by Mary, his wife of 60 years. Daws is survived by his son, Doug and daughter Sue Dublin, Doug's wife Kathy, Doug's daughter Sarah Anthonypillai and her husband Brijesh, Doug's son Matthew, Sue's husband Gary, their son Ben and his wife Leslie and great-granddaughter Abigail, their daughter Kaitie Lynch and her husband Brian, and their daughter Elizabeth. There will be a private family burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
