Obituary of William Berson

William Berson  89, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 1, 2021. Bill worked most of his life in the restaurant business at Wittigs, Steak and Sundae and owned Forman Park Restaurant. He also worked as a medical transport driver for years. Most of all he loved his family, and the casino, (a very close second), going out to dinner, and family gatherings. Sundays have always been family gathering time since the 1950’s at his home on Irving Ave then at Ridgeway Ave. Bill was predeceased by his parents Sam and Lena and his older siblings, Pauline, Morton, Sidney, Harry, Philip, Bernice, and Ruth; also a nephew, Allan Hammer and a niece, Adriane (Berson) Marino.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sharon (Frank) Elmer, Sandi (Bill) Rosenfeld, Steven (Sonny) Berson , Greg (Lee) Berson, Gayle (Richard) Franklin, Beth (Sonny) Drogoszewski , Stuart (Suzanne) Berson and many great nieces and nephews.

Burial will be Wednesday, January 6^th   at 2 PM in Beth El Cemetery, 830 E. Colvin St., Syracuse, NY.
