Obituary of Augustus S. Brumfield Sr.

Augustus "Steve" S. Brumfield Sr. 72, of Syracuse, passed away at home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020.  He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Howard and Mary Brumfield. He retired from the Syracuse City School District.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.  Steve enjoyed working on cars and watching Westerns on TV.

He is predeceased by his parents, Howard and Mary Brumfield; his wife, Patsy L. Brumfield; his brother, Samuel Brumfield Sr.; his grandsons, Shonquell A. Brumfield and Morgan D. Brumfield.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Augustus Jr., Shawn (Teasha), Matthew Sr., and Patrick Sr. (Latoya) Brumfield all of Syracuse, NY; siblings, James Brumfield of Buffalo, NY, Fred (Loretta) Brumfield of Lawrenceville, GA, Carol (Charles) Harris of Rochester, NY, Curtis (Starr) Brumfield of Miami, FL, Mildred (George) Easton of Rochester, NY, Maryann Brumfield of Syracuse, NY; sister in law, Maryann Dennis of Rochester, NY; 20 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 8th from 1 to 3PM at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home., Syracuse, NY.  Services will follow at 3PM at the Funeral Home.
