Obituary of Mazarie Reese

Mazarie Reese, 86, went home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2020. She was born in Carnegie, GA on December 2, 1933.   She was the mother of 7 children, Vera Skeete, JD Washington, Maggie Johnston, Charlie Reese, Sandra "Ann" Reese, Janice Reese and Marlene Jackson.               

She was also a grandmother to Jonathan and Justice Jackson, Tuesday and Tammy Skeete, Chelsey Randolph, Daryl, Alana, and Jermaine Johnston, and Marlon Hoyt. She was a great grandmother to many. Mazarie was previously married to Sammie Reese of Middletown.    

Calling hours are at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 11am to 12 noon. Funeral services will be held from 12 noon to 1pm.

Mazarie worked in retail for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and real estate which prompted her to purchases many homes in NY state and Florida. She had a secret passion to become a singer and once wrote and recorded a song called, "Easing Away From You".
