Obituary of Catherine Tuitt
For the Life Celebration of Catherine "Rine" Tuitt
Catherine “Rine” Tuitt- born April 21, 1952 in Milledgeville, Georgia, to Thelma Warren and Napoleon Clemons. In 1970, Catherine relocated to Brooklyn, NY; and then later moved to Syracuse to settle with her four children.
Rine was known for her generosity, loving heart, quick wit, and creative mind. Although it’s hard to summarize the life of such an amazing person, one thing that defined her was family. No matter what, she always put her family first! In her personal time, Rine enjoyed the casino, playing the slot machines, bingo, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Catherine was a two-time Breast Cancer Survivor and will forever be remembered as a “Warrior”.
She is predeceased by: her mother, Thelma Warren; father, Napoleon Clemons; Shalon Clemons-Carruthers; her common law husband, Jerry Wilson; sisters, Vicki and Mary; grandson, Rhameek; and late husband, James Tuitt.
She is survived by: her sons, Reginald and Roberto (Regina); daughter, Kisha (Leon) Tuitt-Thomas; brothers, Napoleon, Carl, Bernard, and Antonio; step-children, Robin, Redell, Sharell, Gina; grandchildren, Shandreka, Qweanna, Martez, Reginald, Asya, LaShonda, Qwantashia, Queen, Naveah, Juelez, Kimora, Keke; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
