Obituary of Olivia Thompson

Ms. Olivia (Tracy) Thompson, 67, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Upstate Hospital on January 10, 2020 with her loving partner (LeRoy) by her side.

She was born in Manhattan , NY on August 25, 1952 in New York City to the Late Moses Wilson, Sr. and Annie Bell Thompson.  Ms Thompson had attended school in New York City.  She moved to Syracuse and worked as a bar tender at many bars in Syracuse.  She changed her life around and started working for Onondaga Case Management Services where she started working for them in September 2002 until December 2015.

She was a member of Eternal Hope Worship Church until she left and joined Bellegrove Missionary Baptist Church, Syracuse, New Yotk.

She was preceded in death by her father, Moses Wilson, Sr.; her mother, Annie Bell Thompson; her sister, Florence Elizabeth Lee; and her daughter, Takesha Wilson-Henderson.

Ms. Thompson leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memories, her partner, LeRoy Goings, of over 25 years; one son, Keyon Thompson; one daughter in law Beatrice Thompson; one brother, Moses Wilson; one granddaughter, De’Asia Henderson; two great grandchildren, Evelyn and Milo; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

Calling hours will be Friday 10 to 12 noon at the Bellgrove MissionaryBaptist Church, Syracuse, New York. 

Services will be 12 noon at the church. 

Burial will follow at Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse, New York.
