Obituary of Rosalind Masella Ragonese Glass

Rosalind Masella Ragonese Glass was ushered into heaven on November 11, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Nichola and Carmela Masella. Mrs. Glass was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Paul Ragonese; sister and brother-in-law, Carmela and Charles Burke; sisters, Eleanor, Angeline and Beverly Masella; and brother, Joseph Masella. 

Rosalind, Eleanor and Angeline (The Masella Trio) ministered in many churches in America, Canada and Italy, singing in both English and Italian, blessing those that heard their presentation of the Gospel in music. They conducted a prison ministry for over thirty years, ministered in many local nursing homes, as well as the Toomey Abbott Towers in Syracuse. Rosalind was an accomplished musician, mastering the piano, organ and keyboard. She played piano and sang in the church in which she was raised, First Christian Assembly. Rosalind taught their Junior Church Children’s Ministry for sixteen years. 

Also predeceasing Rosalind was her husband, Rev. Robert Glass, pastor of Faith Gospel Church of Liverpool, NY, where Rosalind ministered in music with him. 

Leaving behind is a precious brother, Frederick (Diana) Masella of Solvay; sister-in-law, Giselda Masella of Syracuse; and many beloved nieces and nephews, who will always remember and treasure their beloved “AUNTIE ROZ”.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at A. DeWitt Memorial Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205 with a funeral service to follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
