So sorry for your loss, such a beautiful lady, she no doubt brought joy to her family and friends. Death represents the loss of future dreams, relationships and experiences that have not yet been enjoyed. In the Bible, Acts 17:31 said ‘God has provided a guarantee to all people by resurrecting Jesus from the dead’. This guarantee transcends to all humans so we can see our loved ones again. (a better time and place)

My prayers go out to Bernice's family and friends. Even though I hadn't talk to her in years, I fondly remember growing up in the Marcy and going to school with her. Her father and mine were in the Navy together. Her mother and mine knew each other growing up. Precious memories I will always hold in my heart. Rest in peace, Bernice.

Bernice and I were neighbors many years in Brooklyn. We lived in the same building and we shared the same goals. We reconnected at our neighborhood reunion in 2010 and stayed in touch through Facebook. Although both of us were blessed to receive great educations, Bernice remained loyal to her family and Brooklyn community. She exuded confidence and great humility. I will miss her dearly and offer sincere condolences to Tina, Donna, Linda, William and her daughter. Job well done, Bernice, now you go from labor to reward.

I was a colleague of Bernice’s in Syracuse. She was a wonderful teacher, completely dedicated to her students’ success, and as an administrator, she continued to put her students first.
My condolences to her daughter, grandchildren, great grandchild, sisters and brother. Bernice was very proud of her family; prayers that your memories will sustain you as you grieve your loss.
Rest In Peace, Bernice.
